Open Studio at Corkery Gardens

PLEASE JOIN US! A world of wonders awaits…

Pauline Conley, with guest artists Diane Black and Olga Abizaid, warmly welcomes you to come by the studio for a day of displays and demonstrations. This is also the opportunity to purchase some of the most uniquely beautiful hand made goods you will see this year. What’s in store:

  • Let Pauline show you her new studio, and what she’s been working on (a.k.a. what happens when you release a generalist into the studio of her dreams, complete with kiln and 8-shaft floor loom…), including hand-weaving, ceramics, original paintings, decor, and more.

  • Meet Diane Black, and see her recent work, including sculpture and functional ceramics. Diane’s figurative sculptures are an exploration of life through expressive, unguarded faces and gestures; mostly amusing, sometimes dark, and always informed by careful observation. Her functional pieces are all hand-made, all one-of-a-kind, and all reflect her love of illustration and form. https://www.instagram.com/dianeblack.studio/

  • Meet Olga Abizaid and see her amazing hand-made books. Olga mixes bookbinding with printing, collage, weaving and embroidery techniques to explore and reimagine the form of a book. She is a member of the Canadian Bookbinders and Book Artists’ Guild, and part of the Brazilian book artists’ collective Livros Tengiveis. https://www.instagram.com/olmazabu

  • Witness the unveiling of the new Conley/Black collaboration: Smitty and Stein! Pauline and Diane have collaborated on a line of functional goods for the home, all based on replicable designs created in joyful collaboration. Their inaugural line - ‘Wacky Botanacky’ - incorporates a saturated palette with motifs that are just confusing enough to be delightful. Our aim? To elevate ordinary moments in any day with the application of joyfully created goods, including linens, decor, and ceramics.

When: November 28, 2026, 10am to 4pm
